In a final shocking twist, I actually made SOUP!
The basic recipe for noodles and rice that I use every day was was inspired by Rice A Roni! You saute a big handful of dry pasta, broken into noodles of 2-3;inches. Linguine is my favorite, spaghetti is fine, also fettucine. Elbows aren't bad, with a half cup of dry basmati rice with a nice drenching of olive oil, and when it gets nice and toasty, and you can smell that nice toasty aroma, You add about 2 and a half cups of cold water. You want to have that water handy, because it'll burn not long after it gets toasty. Whisk in 1 tablespoon of tomato paste and some.spices. You can add some vegetables, usually frozen broccoli florets. Bring to a full boil. Turn heat all the way.to low. Takes maybe 20 minutes? 30 minutes? With the heat all the way down down, I can leave it for a while.
